THE PORTUGAL TRAY

I have been given the exciting opportunity to participate in an artist residency program in Lisbon, Portugal for the month of January! The main challenge with spending a month in another country is expenses. For that reason, I created the Portugal Tray to help me fund my journey across the pond. This project also is a culmination of a recent experiments with woodwork as part of an on-going goal to create more functional artwork. All the trays are hand made, shaped, sanded, etc out of oak wood and have been treated with wood oils and a paint coating to ensure they remain in top condition for many years to come.
